Mumbai: A ten-hour special traffic block is being set up between Kalwa and Mumbra on Sunday, September 26 for work on Thane-Diva 5th and 6th routes. The block will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The slow and semi-fast suburban service departing from Kalyan from 7.27 am to 5.40 pm will be diverted to the fast route between Diva and Mulund stations. After that, the locals will be diverted to the slow lane again at Mulund.

All suburban services departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus between 8 am and 5 pm and arriving at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 9 am to 5 pm will reach the destination 10 minutes later than scheduled. Report from Diva before the start of the block and last local service to Mumbra station at 7.38 am. And after the block, report from Diva and the first suburban service to Mumbra station at 6.02 pm. Will leave. Due to this block, more than 90 local round trips will be canceled. Therefore, Central Railway has demanded the state government to release at least more than 100 extra buses on the list.

‘Traffic block’ every month

Work on Thane 5th and 6th routes is being expedited. Other technical works will be carried out along the tracks by taking special traffic blocks. For the next four months, these ‘blocks’ will be taken for five hours for the work of this route and also for ten hours.
