“After resignation, Sonia Gandhi called me and said sorry”; Capt. Amarinder Singh claims

There is a lot of turmoil in Punjab politics right now. Capt Amarinder Singh resigned from the post of Punjab Chief Minister on the grounds that he felt humiliated by the party leaders for doubting his efficiency. After that, while interacting with the media, he called Congress president Sonia Gandhi and claimed that he had apologized to her.

Capt Amarinder Singh said, ‚ÄúSonia Gandhi called me this morning but I could not pick it up. I then called him again and asked him what was going on and in such a situation I should resign, he said. She said, “OK, let me resign,” and then she said, “Sorry, Amarinder.”

After the resignation of Amarinder Singh, many names are entering the race for the Chief Minister’s post. However, the names of Rahul Gandhi’s cousin, former MP and former Punjab Congress president Sunil Jakhar have been confirmed.

Apart from this, it is being said that there will be two Deputy Chief Ministers in the Punjab government. The names of Charanjit Singh Channi, Rajkumar Verka and Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa are coming up for this post. It is learned that one of the two deputy chief ministers will be from the Dalit community.
