An FIR has been registered against MPs Prince Raj Paswan and Chirag Paswan in a rape case

Delhi Police has registered a case against LJP MP Prince Raj of Samastipur in Bihar at the Connaught Place police station following a complaint lodged by a woman three months ago. The FIR also names LJP leader Chirag Paswan, who is accused of plotting to avoid action against his cousin Prince.

Following the directions of the Delhi court, the police registered an FIR on September 9. When the Indian Express tried to contact Chirag and Prince on the matter, they did not respond. “We had lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police in May and an application was filed in the Delhi court in July,” Sudesh Kumari Jethwa, counsel for the victim, told The Indian Express. The court then directed the police to register an FIR against MP Prince Raj and his cousin Chirag Paswan.

In the FIR, the victim alleged that her pornographic video was made and then the video was threatened to go viral. She was also threatened and pressured not to report the matter.

Prince Raj had denied the allegations

Prince is one of five LJP MPs who revolted against Chirag’s leadership in June this year. Earlier, on February 10, Prince had lodged an FIR against the complainant. “I have learned that a woman has made some allegations against me. “We had lodged a complaint on February 10 and submitted all the evidence to the police,” he said.

On June 17, Prince tweeted that “all the allegations against me are false, fabricated and part of a larger criminal conspiracy to pressure me professionally and personally to threaten my reputation.”
