Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad presented the case
Article 370, which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir, was a shield for terrorists and was removed in the national interest. This was stated by Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad while interacting with journalists after the inauguration of the 17th All India Meeting of State Legal Services Officers at Nagpur on Saturday.
On this occasion, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the government along with the country took a decision on Article 370 in the interest of the common people of Jammu and Kashmir. It should be noted that this was a temporary provision and was deleted in the national interest.
We are always striving for the security of the country and the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We want Jammu and Kashmir to prosper. “Article 370 was a shield for terrorists and their patrons, but we removed it. It was done for the development of Kashmir,” he said.
