Mumbai: The final results of the Chartered Accountant (CA) examination were announced on Monday.
The CA final examination and foundation examination were conducted in July on behalf of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India according to the old and new syllabus. In the final examination of the new syllabus, Nandini Agarwal from Madhya Pradesh came first in the country with 614 marks out of 800. Sakshi Aaron from Indore (613 marks) is second and Sakshi Bagre from Bangalore (605 marks) is third. Ruth DeSelva (472 marks) from Mangalore and Malvika Krishnan (446 marks) from Palakkad came first and second respectively in the old syllabus.
For the final examination of the new syllabus, 49,358 students sat for the first subject group (Group 1) examination, out of which 9986 students (20.23 per cent) have passed. 42 thousand 203 students have appeared for the second subject group (group 2) examination out of which 7328 students (17.36 per cent) have passed. 23 thousand 981 students have appeared for both the subject groups and out of them 2 thousand 870 (11.97 percent) students have passed. 12 thousand 556 students sat for the first subject group (group 1) examination of the old syllabus, out of which 1 thousand 348 students (10.74 per cent) have passed. The second subject group (group 2) examination was given by 17 thousand 44 students. Out of which 2 thousand 194 students (12.87 percent) have passed. 3 thousand 949 students have appeared for both the subject groups and out of them 62 (1.57 per cent) students have passed.
