Congress gears up for Uttar Pradesh polls, selects ‘Ya’ leader from state

The Congress is gearing up for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Against this backdrop, the Congress has announced a screening committee for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Congress President Sonia Gandhi announced this. The committee will be chaired by Jitendra Singh of Rajasthan. In addition, the committee has two other members, including Haryana’s Deependra Hooda and Maharashtra Minister Varsha Gaikwad.

Under the leadership of Priyanka Gandhi, party leaders, office bearers and activists have announced that the journey will be as long as 12,000 km. The party has dubbed the yatra as “Congress Pratigya Yatra: Hum Vachan Nibhaenge”. The yatra will travel through both urban and rural parts of the state. There are no signs of an alliance with anyone yet

The Congress has also released the first promo on Priyanka Gandhi for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. In it, Priyanka Gandhi is described as ‘the hope of Uttar Pradesh’. Meanwhile, the Congress has not yet hinted at forming an alliance with any major party in the Assembly elections. However, the Congress is likely to join hands with a smaller party for this election.
