Congress will field MLA Sudhir Tambe against state housing minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil. This information was given by Sudhir Tambe’s son and Maharashtra Congress President Satyajit Tambe. Sudhir Tambe is the brother-in-law of Congress state president Balasaheb Thorat.

While he was the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil resigned from the Congress. Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil resigned from the Congress as Ahmednagar MP Sujay Vikhe did not get a ticket in the Lok Sabha elections. He then joined the BJP. Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil is currently the Housing Minister of the state. After Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil joined the BJP, now the question before the Congress was who is the candidate against him in the Assembly elections. He said, “The Congress candidate against Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil from Rahata constituency will be from our family. MLA Sudhir Tambe will stand, ”said Satyajit Tambe. Sudhir Tambe is currently the current Congress MLA from Nashik Graduate Constituency.
