Mumbai: Anuradha Purandare, sister-in-law of Pune-based builder Deepak Kulkarni alias DSK, who was arrested for defrauding depositors, was on Tuesday granted conditional bail by the High Court on a personal caste bond of Rs 2 lakh.
The petition was heard before Justice Revati Mohite-Dere on Tuesday. At that time, the court, while granting bail to Purandare, forbade him to leave the country and directed him to submit his passport to the investigating agency and to appear before the investigating agency once in three months to co-operate in the investigation. Purandare had been in jail for three and a half years in this case. However, the allegations leveled against him are false. They have nothing to do with this matter. We were only working in DSK’s company as a clerk. Apart from this, he has been in jail for more than three years and the case is not likely to be settled soon, Purandare had claimed.
