Dadar: ‘Last year, Ganeshotsav was celebrated under the banner of Karonabhaya. This year, however, the enthusiasm of Ganesha devotees has been filling. Markets in all suburbs, including Mumbai, thronged for shopping on Thursday. From decorative items, it was a picture of people rushing to buy fruits, vegetables and flowers.

The flow of Ganesha devotees towards Konkan continued on Thursday. As a result, traffic jams occurred in Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai for the third day in a row.

On the other hand, the Mumbai Police has imposed curfew orders in the city to avoid crowds during the Ganeshotsav, considering the risk of an increase in the number of corona patients. According to the ban, no more than five people are allowed to gather in public places and the restrictions will remain in force from Friday to September 19. Violators of these rules will be prosecuted.

An army of 5,000 policemen will be deployed in Thane to enforce the Corona rules.
