The Thackeray government and its penguin love are currently well discussed. The tender for the maintenance of the penguins, however, has now been objected to by the Congress, an ally of the Mahavikas Alliance. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has also criticized the Thackeray government on the issue of cost for these penguins.
MNS has put up posters in some parts of Mumbai, including Worli. It is seen that Shiv Sena and Mahavikas Aghadi have been targeted on this poster. The MNS has also claimed that the expenditure is for feeding the penguins or for the penguin gang. Mansainik Santosh Dhuri shared this poster from his Twitter account.

The Congress has objected to the tender issued by the municipality for the maintenance of penguins at the Veer Jijabai Bhosale Udyan Zoo in Byculla. Congress leader Ravi Raja has raised the question as to why doctors are being appointed when the municipality has its own veterinarian. The Congress party has said that the tender of Rs 15 crore issued by the municipality is a waste.
The cost of caring for penguins has always been a point of contention. The municipality has invited tenders for the maintenance of penguins at a cost of Rs 15 crore. The contract will be for three years. It also includes medical matters. The Congress has objected to the appointment of a private doctor when the municipality has its own veterinarian. Ravi Raja has said that the corporation is spending unnecessarily during the coronation period. He has also demanded cancellation of the tender.
Penguins are the attraction of the park. Penguins live in a different environment. Compromising to take care of them would be like playing with their souls. Then there will be no compromise. If opponents object to the cost, let us know. But the income of the zoo has increased, said Mayor Kishori Pednekar.
