Gadkari’s important statement regarding toll plazas on expressways; Said, “Good roads.”

Union Roads and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari today made an important comment regarding tolls on national highways. “If we want good services, if we want good roads, people have to pay,” Gadkari said. However, Gadkari answered the question regarding tolls in his own style.

“If you want to hold an event in AC Hall, you have to pay rent. If you want to do it for free, you can get married even sitting on the ground, ”Gadkari said while answering a question regarding toll. Gadkari was asked about the nature of paying more through tolls while traveling on expressways. Gadkari also said that the expressway saves a lot of travel time. Today, it takes 48 hours for a truck to travel from Delhi to Mumbai. Due to the expressway, this time will be reduced to 18 hours, Gadkari said.

Gadkari also said that as the expressway is faster, it also saves a lot of fuel. Speaking on the occasion, Gadkari said that the world’s largest expressway is being constructed in India and the entire country is proud of it. Gadkari also said that due to this expressway, Mumbai can be reached in just 12 hours from Delhi. Drones will be used to monitor this expressway. Gadkari said the route would pass through six states and could be used for air ambulance transport.

Gadkari accompanied by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also inspected the work of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. This time Gadkari reached this place by helicopter.

Gadkari said in another program in Rajasthan that by 2023-24, we will build two and a half thousand kilometers of roads in Rajasthan. The cost of these projects will be around Rs 30,000 crore.

In 2018, Gadkari was the first to announce the Mumbai-Delhi Expressway. At that time, he had said that he would build the Chambal Expressway and connect it to the Mumbai-Delhi Expressway. Gadkari had said that the expressway would connect many remote or tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, which would lead to greater development in these areas. The New Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will be a greenfield route and will pass through relatively underdeveloped areas, Gadkari had said.
