“I have 40 MLAs with me, another 10 will come”; Eknath Shinde claims to have reached Guwahati 40 ShivSena MLAs with me Eknath Shinde claims to have reached Guwahati abn 97

Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, who has been angry with the party for the last few months, has called for a mutiny in Gujarat after the Assembly elections. There are indications that his return has been cut as Shinde has made it a condition to leave the Mahavikas alliance and form an alliance with the BJP. As a result, the Mahavikas Aghadi government in the state is in crisis. Similarly, 33 MLAs including Eknath Shinde have flown from Surat to Guwahati in Assam. After this, Eknath Shinde while talking to the media has claimed that he has 40 MLAs with him.

“40 Shiv Sena MLAs are with me. We are all going to take Balasaheb’s Hindutva and role forward. I don’t want to criticize anyone. There are Shiv Sena MLAs here and we want to take Balasaheb’s Hindutva forward. 40 MLAs have come here with me and 10 more will come, ”said Eknath Shinde.

“Shiv Sena has not revolted. Shiv Sena MLAs have not decided to join any party. Shiv Sena MLAs will never deviate from the views of Balasaheb and Hindutva. I have had discussions with the Chief Minister. Balasaheb’s slogan will be raised. We are going to take Balasaheb’s Hindutva forward, “said Eknath Shinde while leaving Surat.

Meanwhile, after the defeat of Shiv Sena’s second candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections, there were signs that Shiv Sena’s votes in the Assembly elections would split and the state government would become unstable. As happened in the Legislative Council elections, the votes of Congress split with Shiv Sena and BJP got 134 first choice votes. Speaking after the BJP’s victory, Leader of the Opposition Devendra Fadnavis had said that this was the beginning of a changing equation in the state. After that, the movement started at night and Eknath Shinde left for Surat with some supportive MLAs. Gujarat BJP president and MP c. R. Shinde had stayed with pro-MLAs at La Meridian Hotel under Patil’s supervision and under tight police security.
