Chief Minister slammed BJP
Mumbai: Though efforts are being made to disrupt the co-operative movement in Maharashtra, which is showing the way to co-operation to the entire country, it will not be possible for anyone to break the movement of common man’s interest rooted in Maharashtra by inheriting the ideas of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj, said Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Gulabrao Patil Birth Centenary Celebration Committee organized and Vs. C. Chief Minister Thackeray was speaking at the Janshatabdi Inspiration Ceremony of the late Gulabrao Patil, a former MP, in collaboration with Page Parliamentary Training Center, Vidhan Bhavan.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray also suggested that co-operation councils should be set up to understand the challenges facing the co-operative sector in the 21st century, address shortcomings and improvements in the co-operative sector.
Speaker of the Legislative Council Ramraje Naik-Nimbalkar, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Narhari Jirwal, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Praveen Darekar, Working Chairman of the Birth Centenary Celebration Committee and Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat were present on the occasion.
