Initiatives to prevent infection from APMC

Order of Municipal Commissioner to strictly follow the rules

Navi Mumbai: APMC Market Committee has become a high risk area for the spread of corona infection in the city. Currently, more than two thousand coroners are found in the city every day. Therefore, Municipal Commissioner Abhijeet Bangar has ordered the APM to strictly follow the Karona rules. Special vigilance teams have been deployed at the spot and those violating the rules are being penalized. For this, the Municipal Commissioner has recently held direct discussions with APMC Joint Secretary Prakash Ashtekar and Deputy Engineer Mehboob Bepari and directed them to take more effective measures to prevent the spread of Corona. APMC has been operating day and night corona testing centers in all the five markets from the very beginning and maximum corona testing is being done. The commissioner has also directed the APMC administration to pay close attention to ensure that everyone who comes there is tested.

Farmers and traders are bringing their produce in the APMC market not only from different districts of the state but also from different states. Therefore, like traders, drivers, drivers and freight workers of vehicles coming from other places are in large numbers in this place. All of them are undergoing corona tests and if found to be infected, they are being admitted to the corona center here for treatment. APMC is an essential service, so it cannot be shut down. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. Keeping this in mind, Municipal Commissioner Abhijeet Bangar has directed the APMC administration to take all necessary measures to prevent corona and to take strict action against the violators.

Sudden action

The APMC administration is giving important instructions such as using a mask, keeping a safe distance every half an hour in all the market committees. Similarly, those who violate the rules and regulations are being punished. One day in a week, sudden action will be taken without prior notice to feel the effect of the action.
