‘JEE’ main exam results announced

MUMBAI: The results of the fourth session of the Common Entrance Test (JEE) for engineering admissions were announced late on Tuesday night. There are 44 students in 100 percentile in this examination and there are five students from the state. Mumbai’s Atharva Tambat, Saurabh Kulkarni and Amey Deshmukh, Snehdeep Gayen and Gargi Bakshi have won.

The cut-off for JEE Advance has decreased compared to last year. As per the instructions released by the National Testing Cell (NTA), 18 candidates have bagged the first position in the fourth session examination. There are 5 students from the state, 4 from Andhra Pradesh, 2 each from Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The exam, which was held from August 26 to September 2, was attended by 7.32 lakh students. Nine lakh 39 thousand 8 students from all over the country appeared for the exam in all the four sessions.

The JEE Main Examination is conducted for admission in Indian Institute of Technology, National Institute of Technology and many other government aided institutes. A total of 2.5 lakh students will be eligible for JEE Advance in all the four sessions of the main examination.

Advance registration started

The JEE Advance Examination for admission in IIT, NIT will be held on 3rd October and the results will be announced on 15th October. For this, the students who have qualified from the main examination will be able to register till September 20.
