Land Acquisition of Logistics Park in Uran in progress; Project on 640 hectares of land

Project on 640 hectares of land; Hospitals, police stations and parking lots along with basic facilities

Navi Mumbai: CIDCO has already decided to set up a logistics park project on 640 hectares of land between JNPT and Sagari Setu. The land required for this will be acquired by paying compensation under the scheme of twenty two and a half percent. For this, the process of acquisition of 389 hectares of land in nine pockets has been started.

CIDCO Warehouse will construct a plot of land at this place and all the necessary infrastructure roads, water, electricity and hospital, police station, parking lot will be constructed.

Thousands of containers are being shipped daily from Uran’s JNPT port. The port will be further expanded to become the largest port in the country. Along with this port development program, Shivdi Sea Route near Nhava Sheva village in the same area will also start and end. The 22 km long route will be completed soon and it will be possible to reach Navi Mumbai in 22 to 25 minutes from South Mumbai. Reliance Group’s SEZ project is taking shape in this area. With the expansion of Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT) and the Nhava Sheva Shivdi Sea Route project, the importance of Uran will be greatly enhanced globally, thus creating a distinct significance for Uran.

With thousands of containers passing through the JNPT port daily and the consequent billions of rupees in foreign investment, CIDCO has decided to set up a magnificent logistics park in the area. CIDCO will spend Rs 1,500 crore on infrastructure for the 389-hectare logistics park. For this, 640 hectares of land will be required and some land will be acquired along with the land owned by CIDCO. For this, along with the land compensation, the farmers will be given the developed plots under the scheme like the project affected people in Navi Mumbai Airport project. The land acquisition process for this project has started.

671 hectares of land in ten villages have been acquired for the airport project and the rehabilitation has been completed.

There is also a hospital in the park

The magnificent logistics park will house the warehouses of many foreign companies. A state-of-the-art logistics park will also be set up as a hospital. CIDCO has not acquired any land in this area under Navi Mumbai city project. So it has to be edited anew.
