“Let’s issue an arrest warrant against Kangana”; Anger expressed by the dark court
A criminal defamation suit filed by renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar was heard in a dark court today. Meanwhile, the court expressed anger over Kangana’s absence this time. Not only that, if Kangana is absent from the next hearing, it has been clearly stated that an arrest warrant will be issued. The next hearing in the case will be held on September 20.

The High Court on Thursday rejected actress Kangana’s plea to quash the action taken by the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate in the wake of a defamation suit filed by Javed Akhtar. The order of the magistrate to initiate action is not illegal, there is no irregularity in it. Therefore, there is no question of interfering in it, the court had said. Kangana had to appear in a dark court as the Mumbai High Court refused to grant relief.
Kangana has been diagnosed with corona and has undergone corona testing. However, her lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui said that no report has been received yet. Javed Akhtar’s lawyer Jay Bhardwaj objected to this. On this, Bhardwaj pointed out that even last time, Kangana was allowed to be absent saying that she would be present at the next hearing.
Bharadwaj: Last time also she sought for exemption, and it was informed that she would have to appear.
Siddiquee: The medical certificate is submitted. It is by the same doctor who is a witness here. She met a lot of people during her film promotion.

After this, Siddiqui informed that he has submitted the medical certificate. The same doctor is a witness and he informed that Kangana had met many people during the promotion of the film. Bhardwaj expressed displeasure over the delay in the hearing. He also pointed out that the complainant was present at every hearing except the day when permission was not granted.

The court said that if Kangana did not appear in court at a later date, we would issue an arrest warrant. “We are currently awaiting the arrest warrant application and if Kangana is absent from the next hearing, we will issue an arrest warrant,” the court said. The next hearing will be held on September 20.
