Before the BJP government came, there was discrimination. Now everyone gets equal justice. Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has said that only those who used to say ‘Abba Jaan’ before 2017 were ending the ration. Yogi Adityanath’s remarks criticizing Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav have sparked controversy. Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah, who has always been a vocal critic, has expressed displeasure over Yogi Adityanath’s statement.
Naseeruddin Shah has said in an interview to India Today that Yogi Adityanath’s statement is offensive. “Abba Jaan’s statement by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh is insulting and there is no way to react to it,” said Naseeruddin Shah.
“This is the person (Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh) who he is. There is no point in reacting to it. But the fact is that his ‘Abba Jaan’ statement is part of the hate speech he was already talking about, ”Naseeruddin Shah said.
What Yogi Adityanath said –
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath yesterday (Sunday) targeted the opposition parties, especially the Samajwadi Party (SP), at the inaugural function of development works in Kushinagar, alleging that, “The Samajwadi Party government accounts for the rations of the poor and lets them die. He was benefiting a community called Abba Jaan. Why weren’t the poor getting rations before 2017? Because then the state government and the mafia were eating the rations of the poor and the people were starving and their rations were reaching Nepal and Bangladesh. No one can take the ration of the poor today, if they take it, they will definitely go to jail ”.

Naseeruddin Shah slams Muslims who support Taliban, says
Meanwhile, Naseeruddin Shah had slapped Muslims who supported the Taliban a few days ago. “The recapture of Afghanistan by the Taliban is a matter of concern for the whole world. The most dangerous thing is that some Indian Muslims are happy that the Taliban have regained control of Afghanistan, “said Nasiruddin Shah.
He further said, ‘Indian Islam has always been different from Islam around the world and God does not want to bring a time where they will change so much and we will not even be able to recognize it. Indian Muslims today must ask themselves the question, does Islam need reform and modernity or the old-fashioned atrocities? I am a Hindustani Muslim and as Mirza Ghalib said long ago, my relationship with God is informal. I don’t need political religion. ‘
