MUMBAI: The sale of 8,984 houses of MHADA’s Konkan Mandal has crossed the one lakh mark on Saturday. 1 lakh 4 thousand 175 applications have been filled till 6.30 pm, out of which 69 thousand 945 applicants have submitted their applications to the bank along with the deposit. Now there are only three days left for registration, four days for filling up the application and only five days left for submitting the application to the bank. Against this backdrop, the Konkan Board has appealed to the aspirants to complete the registration and application process as soon as possible and participate in the draw to fulfill their dream of owning a home.
An advertisement has been issued for 8,984 houses in Konkan Mandal on 22nd August and the draw for these houses will be held on 14th October. After three years, the Konkan Board has provided such a large number of houses and these houses are said to be many times cheaper than the houses of private developers. 93 thousand 411 people have registered till Saturday evening. Up to 1.5 lakh applications will be submitted till the last day, said Nitin Mahajan, Chief Officer, Konkan Mandal.
