Anil Parab’s notice to Kirit Somaiya

Mumbai: Former BJP MP Kirit Somaiya has been issued a legal notice to file a defamation suit against him for allegedly defaming him. Anil Parab has played. Somaiya has been making baseless allegations on social media and in the media since May 2021 and has tried to discredit Parab with political motives and personal ambitions. Parab referred to Somaiya’s tweet in the last few months in the notice. Somaiya had tweeted ‘Anil Parab’s scam’ on June 10, 2021 and said he would lodge complaints with the Enforcement Directorate and other departments in New Delhi. Somaiya tweeted on September 3, 2021 that Parab had two unauthorized resorts in Dapoli taluka, Sai and Sea Crouch. The resort was allegedly built illegally in the Coastal Regulation Area (CRZ). After actually selling the land to Sadanand Kamat, Parab has nothing to do with the land and construction. However, Somaiya has consistently accused Binbuda, Parab said in the notice. Somaiya had tweeted about Bajrang Kharmate’s visit to Sangli and Pune properties on September 5, 6 and 8, 2021. Mentioning that Kharmate was Parab’s secretary, he linked up with him. “Kharmate is an official in the transport department and I have nothing to do with him,” Parab said.

He also tweeted on September 12, 2021 that Parab’s office at Mhada Colony in Bandra was built illegally. But I am not the owner of this place and I have nothing to do with the construction. These matters have also been mentioned in the Lokayukta’s order, Parab clarified in the notice.

Rural Development Minister Hasan Mushrif had on Monday announced that Somaiya would file a Rs 100 crore suit against him for embezzling money. Parab then issued a notice to Somaiya. Meanwhile, I do not beg for such notices, ”Somaiya said.
