US Senator Marco Rubio has blamed Pakistan’s help for the Taliban’s victory in Afghanistan. He told a congressional hearing on Afghanistan on Thursday that the way things were unfolding in Afghanistan showed Pakistan’s hand in it. He also said that it did not send a good message to India.
It is a matter of concern that a country like Pakistan can bring victory to the Taliban in Afghanistan. “So we’re in a terrible situation,” Rubio said. Pakistan gave safe haven to the Taliban. He has been instrumental in recruiting and training terrorists, Rubio said.
