Mysore : Prime Minister Narendra ModiOn the occasion of the 8th World Yoga Day, he performed yoga with thousands of citizens in the historic Mysore palace area. At this time, he said, yoga could lead to world peace, from daily life to awareness of international conflicts. He expressed the belief that yoga could solve problems by connecting countries.
After inaugurating the main function of World Yoga Day in Mysore, Modi wished the people of the country and the world on the occasion and said that peace is created in the universe with yoga society, nation and faith. This notion of yoga can only be a thought about someone. But the saints of India have answered this with the mantra ‘Yatpinde Tat Brahmande’. Giving evidence of sages, sages and teachers, Modi said that the universe begins with his body and soul. That is, the universe begins with us. Yoga brings peace. This peace is not only for some people but also for the society. Yoga establishes peace in the world with nations. Creates peace in the universe too. It begins with self-awareness. Yoga then leads to world awareness. When we become aware of ourselves and the world, we begin to discover the things that need to change, ourselves and the world. Whether it is the challenges of daily life or global challenges like climate change or global struggles, Modi said that yoga makes us aware of these challenges, we become capable and compassionate to face them. That kind of yoga connects countries. Helps to find a way out of problems. Yoga is a gift of Indian culture to the world. Today, yoga has become an integral part of people’s lives around the world. It has now become the lifestyle of the majority. Yoga has not only shown the whole world the path to health, but has become a global festival for all humanity. A few years ago yoga was confined to homes and spiritual centers. Now it has reached the corners of the world. The spiritual centers that nurtured yoga energy in India, yoga energy has become a guideline for global health today. Modi said that yoga has created a belief in a healthy life in human society.
The event was attended by Karnataka Governor Thavarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Union AYUSH Minister Sarvanand Sonowal and Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar of Mysore dynasty and Rajmata Pramoda Devi. International Yoga Day started in 2015. This day is celebrated all over the world on 21st June every year. This year, the theme of Yoga Day was ‘Yoga for Humanity’. This time, Union AYUSH Minister Sonowal said that after two years of turbulent period of Kovid Mahasathi, we are celebrating actual Yoga Day today. In addition to the main function in Mysore, under the leadership of 75 Union Ministers, mass yoga ceremonies were also organized at 75 places across the country.
This year, Yoga Day is being celebrated in the nectar festival of Indian independence. This is the breadth and acceptance of yoga, the acceptance of that nectar of India, which gave impetus to the Indian freedom struggle. Modi also said that the Yatra would last for eternity and Indian society would continue to contribute to health and world peace through yoga in the spirit of ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhin :, Sarve Santu Niramay:’.
