Police sexually assault nephew for two years; The victim attempted suicide in the Ganges

Another shocking case has come to light from Uttar Pradesh. A 25-year-old rape victim tried to end her life by jumping into the river Ganga. However, fortunately, after the efforts of the police personnel, the woman has been rescued. In the last two years, the victim’s uncle, who has been working as a traffic head constable, has raped her several times. The woman, a resident of Mirzapur district, jumped into the river Ganga on Sunday evening. However, she was rescued by divers and police personnel, said Deputy Commissioner of Police Pramod Kumar. A case has been registered in this regard based on the complaint of the woman.

In her complaint, the victim alleged that in January 2019, the 25-year-old’s uncle had invited her family to Allahabad to visit Aquarius. During their stay, her uncle took her to a hotel. There she was given a cold drink. She then fell unconscious. This time he raped her and shot a video to blackmail her. The victim further said that in the last two years, her uncle had raped her several times in Allahabad and Kanpur.

DCP Pramod Kumar, while giving information about the case, said, “When her uncle found out that she was pregnant, he gave her an abortion pill.” On Sunday, the accused and his son again took the victim to a room in Chakeri area of ​​Kanpur. There they made another video of her to blackmail her even more. This time when the woman resisted, they started beating her and threatened her with dire consequences. After escaping from their clutches, the woman first called the police helpline number and then jumped into the river. But, PRV jawans rescued her.

No arrests yet

A case has been registered against the traffic police constable and his son under the relevant sections of the IPC. However, the two have not yet been arrested. Meanwhile, DCP (Transport) BBGTS Murthy has said that the accused constable concerned will be suspended after the victim’s complaint is lodged before the magistrate. He also said that the victim would undergo a medical examination.
