Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat’s appeal
Mumbai: The second opinion is not disrespected here, but the view of India’s dominance, not that of Muslims, should be taken into account, said Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat here on Monday. The ancestors of Hindus and Muslims living in India are the same. Bhagwat appealed to all to work together for the progress and development of the country.
The Governor of Kerala Arif Mohammad Khan and the Chancellor of Kashmir Kendriya Vidyalaya Lt. Gen. Syed Ata Hussain were present along with Sarsanghchalak Bhagwat at the ‘Rashtra Pratham-Rashtra Sarvatopari’ conference in Mumbai on behalf of the Global Strategic Policy Foundation. Bhagwat and other dignitaries interacted with intellectuals and thinkers of the Muslim community.
The glorious tradition of the country is the basis of unity, said Sarsanghchalak Bhagwat.
Islam came to India with foreign invaders, this is history and it must be said so. The sensible and thoughtful leaders of the Muslim community should oppose the recent and shallow statements. They have to do this work long and hard. “This is a big test for all of us and it will take a long time,” Bhagwat said.
This time, Arif Mohammad Khan said, when diversity was destroyed in the world, undesirable things increased. Indian culture has never considered anyone a stranger.
Lieutenant General Syed Atta Hussain warned against Pakistan. Pakistan conspired to cause bloodshed in India after 1971. But this conspiracy did not succeed. Now in the changed situation Pakistan can target Indian Muslims. Hussein said his plot should be thwarted by all.
Although the situation in Kashmir has changed, the advancement of women in various fields is still lacking. They should be given more opportunities, said a Muslim female cricket coach. Some Kashmiri children also expressed their feelings.
Motherland, ancestry and Indian culture means ‘Hindu’. Hindu is not a caste or linguistic term. It is a tradition that guides the progress and development of every individual. We believe that every Indian who believes in it is a Hindu.
