Production of ‘Vedic Ranga’ in Uttar Pradesh soon

An official of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) said on Sunday that ‘Vedic Ranga’ would soon be produced in four places in Uttar Pradesh.

Factories will be set up at Barabanki, Varanasi, Ballia and Meerut to produce Vedic paints, said KVIC’s Varanasi director. S. Bhati told PTI.

This color is different from the usual color because it does not contain any chemicals, it is made from ‘natural’ sources and is just as durable as other colors. It is cheaper than other colors available in the market, said Bhati, who came to Varanasi to inspect the exhibition and participate in the ‘Magh Mela’ here.

At present, two types of Vedic colors, white and distemper, are being developed at Sanganer in Jaipur under a pilot project, Bhati said.

The commission is trying to bring the paint in other colors soon and is working on its design, he said.
