Just hours after taking over as Chief Minister, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channy has issued important orders to all government officials and employees at the state, district and tehsil levels. Charanjit Singh Channy on Monday (September 20) instructed government officials and employees at all levels to stay in his office till 9 am every day. At the same time, instructions are given to be available to the public full time during your entire office hours i.e. till evening. Stressing on the need to bring transparency in government offices, the Chief Minister directed all officers and employees to resolve all grievances of the people as a matter of priority.
“Ensure the availability of all government officials and employees during office hours. Are the administrative secretaries and department heads looking at the rules to keep an eye on their subordinates? To see this, a surprise inspection should be done twice a week, ”said Chief Minister Charanjit Channy. The newly elected Chief Minister of Punjab has also instructed the Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments to keep a close watch on the activities and records of their respective offices.
