A woman who was raped in Sakinaka area of Mumbai has died while undergoing treatment. The inhumane act of inserting a rod into the genitals after a woman was raped was exposed. The incident, which took place in Sakinaka area, had caused a stir. The injured woman was admitted to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar for treatment. But her struggle with death has failed. Police have arrested the accused and the court has remanded him in police custody till September 21.
“Sakinaka is the only accused in the rape case. There is no other accused. As seen from CCTV footage. The answer of the rape victim could not be recorded. She was still unconscious. So that’s exactly what happened. We are unaware of this. But the investigation will soon reveal more. The investigation will be completed as soon as possible and a chargesheet will be filed, ”Police Commissioner Hemant Nagarale said at a press conference.
“There is a cardboard company at Sakinaka on Khairani Road between 3:20 pm on September 10. The watchman of that company called the control room and informed that a woman was being beaten here. After receiving information about this incident, the control room informed the police within the limits of the concerned police station. The concerned officers reached there within ten minutes. There they found a woman in an open tempo in a very critical condition. At that time, the police decided on the spot and without shifting the woman anywhere else, the constable took the key of the tempo from Watchman and the police rushed the woman to Rajawadi Hospital. The doctor immediately started treatment on the woman. A case has been registered on the complaint of the watchman, ”informed Police Commissioner Hemant Nagarale.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has also taken serious note of this issue. “The rape and subsequent death of a woman in the Sakinaka area is an act of disgrace to humanity and the perpetrator will be severely punished. In this regard, I have also spoken to the Home Minister of the state, ”said Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The Chief Minister has taken complete information about the incident and has also spoken to the Commissioner of Police. The incident is reprehensible. “The perpetrators will be severely punished. The case will be taken on fast track and justice will be served to the victim, ”he said.
