“..So no one can throw me away”; Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel

After the resignation of Vijay Rupani, discussions were going on about who would be the next Chief Minister. Some of the leading names included Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel. However, out of Nitin Patel and other leaders, Bhupendra Patel won. Bhupendra Patel will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat today. So, there was talk that Nitin Patel was upset with Bhupendra Patel for making him the Chief Minister. Nitin Patel has responded to this. “I live in people’s minds, so no one can get me out of there,” he said

“I was not the only one aspiring for the chief ministership, there were many like me. I am not upset with the choice of Bhupendra Patel. These are just rumors. No decision is made by one person but by a party. Also, on Sunday, I left the party office only after getting the permission of BJP’s Gujarat in-charge Bhupendra Yadav, ”he said. Nitin Patel addressed the people at a function in Mehsana on Sunday evening.

“As long as I am in the hearts of my people, voters and activists, no one can throw me out. I’m not upset. I have been working in BJP since I was 18 and will continue to work. Whether I get a position in the party or not, I will continue to serve as long as I am in the party. I don’t care what people say. Bhupendra Bhai is ours. He invited me to inaugurate his office as MLA. They are my friends. I don’t care what people say or think. My existence is not in danger because of you, ”he told the crowd.
