Testimony of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, presentation of recommendations of the task force

Mumbai: After studying the national education policy, senior scientist Dr. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday assured that the recommendations and suggestions made by the task force headed by Raghunath Mashelkar would be implemented as soon as possible. He said that all possible measures would be taken as per the recommendations of the task force to ensure the overall development of the state in terms of education and to keep the state at the forefront in this field.

A copy of the report prepared by the task force was handed over to the Chief Minister at his Varsha residence. State Minister for Higher and Technical Education Uday Samant, MP Sanjay Raut, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashish Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary Vikas Kharge, Principal Secretary for Higher and Technical Education Vikas Chandra Rastogi, members of the task force and former chairman of the University Grants Commission Dr. Sukhdev Thorat, Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Dr. Vijay Khole, Adv. Dr. Harshad Bhadbhade, Director of Technical Education Along with Abhay Wagh, Dr. Mashelkar had participated in the meeting online.

The various recommendations made by the task force in connection with the National Education Policy, 2020, Dr. Mashelkar informed at this time. Uday Samant said that a proposal will be submitted to the Cabinet soon for immediate action as per the recommendations.

The members of the task force also discussed various issues and made suggestions for effective implementation of the National Education Policy.
