Srinagar: A Lashkar-e-Taiba militant was killed in a clash with security forces in Kupwada district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. According to police, the clash erupted after security forces launched a search operation in Lolab area of Kupwada, according to information received from arrested terrorist Shaukat Ahmed Sheikh.
Security forces responded and one terrorist was killed in the encounter. The area was starting to flicker until late. According to Kashmir Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar, the slain militant was a Pakistani national and belonged to the banned militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba. There should be two or three more terrorists in the area.
