“These men should be hanged in public”; Amrita Fadnavis’s angry reaction to Sakinaka rape case
The accused had allegedly raped a woman in Mumbai’s Sakinaka area and inserted a rod into her genitals. Upon learning of the incident, senior police officials rushed to the spot and rushed the woman to the hospital. However, the rape victim died today while undergoing treatment. There are now angry reactions from all quarters to this brutal incident. Former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s wife Amrita Fadnavis has also expressed outrage over the case and said that such people should be hanged in public.
The incident in the Khairani Road area of Sakinaka has caused a stir. According to police, the victim was a 32-year-old woman. Upon receiving the information, the Deputy Commissioner of Police and Additional Commissioner of Police rushed to the spot and admitted the victim to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar. However, the woman died during treatment.

Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis, meanwhile, has also reacted to the case. What happened in Sakinaka and the subsequent death of the victim is mind numbing. There have been incidents of rape over the past month. This needs to be addressed, said Devendra Fadnavis. He also said that these incidents were creating a sense of insecurity in Mumbai.
