The battle for assembly elections will now begin. But before that, the candidature is well dramatized. The BJP has ousted several sitting MLAs, including senior BJP leader and former state revenue minister Eknath Khadse and cultural minister Vinod Tawde. Even after announcing the names of candidates from all the constituencies, the BJP has decided to contest from Kamathi constituency in Nagpur.
Khadse was replaced by his daughter Rohini Khadse. Therefore, the discussion started that Bavankule’s wife would be given the nomination. However, as no decision was taken soon, Chandrasekhar Bavankule’s wife Jyoti Bavankule filed her nomination papers at 2 pm on Friday. He has filled the application as an independent. Though Jyoti Bavankule’s application has been filed, it is still unclear who will be the BJP’s candidate from Kamathi constituency.
