Transforming UP: Kolkata Bridge in Yogi Advertisement; Trinamool gets angry!

The BJP had claimed victory in the recent West Bengal Assembly elections. However, Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress once again took power in West Bengal. The game of accusations and counter-accusations that started between the two parties at that time is now gaining momentum again in the backdrop of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. And the reason for this was a full page advertisement published by the Uttar Pradesh government in a local newspaper with a full photo of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath! The advertisement was expected to mention the performance of the Uttar Pradesh government. But the opposite happened in the printed advertisement!

What exactly happened?

The Uttar Pradesh government today printed a full page advertisement in local newspapers. This advertisement describes what the Uttar Pradesh government has done in the last 5 years. Below are photos of various development works. Along with this, a large photo of Yogi Adityanath is also seen. However, due to the photos below the text on the page, the advertisement and the Uttar Pradesh government have become a huge troll. The Trinamool Congress in particular has been reacting sharply to all this.

What’s in the photos?

The photos below the advertisement show large buildings, a large flyover, and factories to show the development work. However, there is a lot of confusion here. The Trinamool has claimed that the flyover in these photos is not from Uttar Pradesh but from West Bengal. Many netizens have underlined this fact and said that it is easily noticed from the design of its blue-white color scheme. At the same time, the yellow taxi running on the bridge also proves that this is a photo from Kolkata.

Trinamool’s sharp criticism!

After the ad went viral, Trinamool Congress leader and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee tweeted to the Uttar Pradesh government and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over the ad. “For Yogi Adityanath, Transforming UP means stealing photos of the development work done in West Bengal under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee and using it in his own advertisements. The BJP’s double engine model has failed miserably in its most powerful state and now it has been revealed, “Abhishek Banerjee said in his tweet.

Many netizens have also mentioned in the advertisement that the flyover is a flyover in central Kolkata. Also, along with this flyover, the yellow taxis appearing on it are also showing that it is a photo of Kolkata. In addition, some netizens have claimed that the two tall buildings on the side of the flyover belong to a five-star hotel chain in Kolkata.
