“True fighters in BJP….”, Babul Supriyo’s serious allegations against BJP after leaving the party

Former Union Minister and former BJP MP Babul Supriyo joined the Trinamool Congress on Saturday. Supriyo had announced his resignation from the BJP after a reshuffle in the Union Cabinet. He also announced his retirement from politics. He later joined the Trinamool Congress in the presence of Trinamool National General Secretary and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee. Meanwhile, after leaving the BJP and joining the Trinamool Congress, there was a verbal clash between former Union Minister Babul Supriyo and BJP leader Swapan Dasgupta on Twitter.

Swapan Dasgupta had claimed that the defection of Babul Supriyo could damage his own image. Responding to the claim, Supriyo said the same should be true of the rivals who were given key posts earlier this year after joining the BJP. Also have I made history by changing parties? If that is the case, then the BJP has also met the ‘one-time rivals’ from the other party and promoted them to higher positions. In doing all this, the real people at the grassroots of the BJP were ignored. If you say that I have changed my party and tarnished my own image, then the image of the people who joined the BJP must have been tarnished too. ‘ This tweet was made by Babul Supriyo.

Rajya Sabha MP Swapan Dasgupta had said in his tweet that it was only natural for BJP supporters to get angry and hate the common man after Babul Supriyo joined the TMC. Replying to this, Babel Supriyo said, “I agree with this and my anger is real. Also, what about the same Babul who had openly protested against the inclusion of outsiders in the BJP? Did the BJP have a good image of Babylon at that time? Ask the same supporters who were sidelined by these outsiders, ”said Babul Supriya.

On Saturday, Swapan Dasgupta tweeted, “I am sad that Babul Supriyo has left the BJP. It was the property of our party. ”
