Mumbai: The two, who had come from Madhya Pradesh to sell pistols, were arrested by the Mumbai Police’s anti-ransom squad from Dadar. Police have seized seven home-made pistols and 15 cartridges from them and arrested Manoj Kumar Vaishnav (27) and Karan Das (21).
Assistant Inspector Sunil Pawar of the Anti-Ransom Squad got the information that the two from Madhya Pradesh would bring pistols in Dadar area. Accordingly, the squad set a trap at Dadar and took action on Saturday morning. The accused were apprehended by the police as they were heading towards the railway station from near the Dadar flyover. During the search, police found seven home-made pistols and 15 live cartridges in his possession.
Both are originally from Rajasthan. He had brought the pistols from Indore in Madhya Pradesh. The investigation revealed that they were going to sell these pistols for Rs 30,000 each.
