Unconditional rehabilitation of flood victims; Forgive the debt on crops sunk in Mahapura – Raju Shetty

“Farmers have been in a lot of trouble over the last year. It is time for the farmer to throw his vegetables on the road. He is suffering from natural calamities and heavy rains. So those who are regular and honest farmers. The incentive grant of Rs 50,000 for them, which was announced a year and a half ago, should be given to us immediately in this difficult time. At the same time, the agriculture in Mahapura is submerged. The debt on that sunken crop should also be forgiven on the lines of 2019. ” Such a demand has been made by Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana leader and former MP Raju Shetty to the state government.

The Chief Minister had invited me for a meeting to discuss the issue of floods in Konkan and other parts of the state and the heavy rains in Marathwada. The meeting was scheduled for three o’clock in the afternoon, so I came. However, when Varsha came to the residence, she came to know that this meeting has been organized at the Sahyadri residence. So now I have gone to Sahyadri, said Raju Shetty while talking to media.

Raju Shetty said, “Our main demand is that the farmers have been in dire straits for the last one year. It is time for this farmer to throw his vegetables on the road. He is suffering from natural calamities and heavy rains. Therefore, those who are regular and honest farmers. The incentive grant of Rs. 50,000 for them, which was announced a year and a half ago, should be given to us immediately in this difficult time. At the same time, the agriculture in Mahapura is submerged. Debt on that sunken crop should be forgiven on the lines of 2019. In 2019, the then government had forgiven the debt for the damage caused to agriculture by the floods. It should be done this time too, because if it is not a crop balance, how to repay the loan? That should be the ruling. If the Chief Minister tweets, it is not enough. His rule should be a decision. Because, we will not be able to plan another crop on that land unless the government decides and informs the banks. ”

Also, “It’s been a quarter of a month since the floodwaters receded. It is said that a farmer does not have money and if he asks for a loan from a bank, pay off the previous loan and then give a new one. How to repay a loan in advance? That is, the government should take responsibility for the previous debt by making a ruling, removing the ordinance. When the government pays the banks is a question for the government and the banks. But we will get new loans and new crops, because our livelihood depends on that agriculture. ” Even so, Raju Shetty spoke and showed.

At the same time, “the most important thing is that the flood victims should be rehabilitated unconditionally. If the flood-affected people are to be rehabilitated, they are asked to hand over the existing houses to the government. ” Raju Shetty also gave such information to the media.
