US ready to help India

“India has helped us when we need it, so now that we are in crisis because of the second wave of the Corona, we will do our best to help India,” US President Joe Biden said after a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.


Apart from emergency aid, equipment will also be provided to India, he said. Prime Minister Modi and President Biden had a telephone conversation on Monday. The United States has said it is ready to help India and has agreed to supply vaccines or raw materials after the Biden administration was criticized for its slow response to India’s troubled coronation. Earlier, the Biden administration had said that India would be considered only after the US needs were met.


‘60 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine available from US to the world’


At a time when the coronavirus is on the rise in many parts of the world, the United States will make available to the world 60 million doses of the vaccine developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford, said Dr. Vivek Murthy has said.
