Vaccination of more than one lakh women in a day

Mumbai: On behalf of Mumbai Municipal Corporation, a special vaccination session reserved for women was conducted at all government and municipal vaccination centers on Friday. A total of 1 lakh 27 thousand women were vaccinated during the day. During this session, women were allowed to take the first or second dose of the vaccine in person.

As part of the Corona Prevention Vaccination Campaign, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation conducted a special vaccination session for women only at all government and municipal vaccination centers in Mumbai from 10.30 am to 6.30 pm on Friday. This special session was organized to increase the number of women in vaccination. Online pre-registration was closed for this special session. The women of Mumbai responded spontaneously to this special session. More than one lakh women were vaccinated during the day.

Many women do not go out of the house, so they do not even come forward for vaccination, and some women are not aware of their own health. Therefore, the vaccination was reserved for women so that all such women could come forward for vaccination, officials said. 1 lakh 3 thousand women were vaccinated today at the center of the municipality. Of these, more than 61,000 women took the first dose. 5,910 women were vaccinated at government centers. Of these, 2,344 women took the first dose. At the private center, more than 42,000 people were vaccinated, including women.

So far 1 crore 9 lakh 86 thousand citizens have been vaccinated in Mumbai. Out of which more than 33 lakh 31 thousand citizens have taken the second dose. In addition, 124 bedridden people were vaccinated during the day. Twenty-six people who went abroad were also vaccinated.
