Cash shortages have been rampant in Afghanistan since the Taliban took over. Global aid has been closed and daily withdrawals from bank accounts have been limited. Now a report in the New York Post claims that most Taliban supporters have not received money for months. Meanwhile, there is widespread concern about Indian investment in Afghanistan after the Taliban took over. In such a situation, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has given information about this today (Sunday).
“After discussing the current situation with the foreign minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will decide to continue investing in further infrastructure in this war-torn country. India has completed several infrastructure projects in Afghanistan. Some projects are still pending, ”Gadkari said.
Nitin Gadkari said, “We have built a dam (Salma Dam) there. We have worked in the field of water resources in Afghanistan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will decide whether India will now invest in infrastructure projects in Afghanistan. ”
